Equipment for the long way.
GUIDE / CARE

CARE BETWEEN RIDES.

Plan care around the actual materials and instructions. The method that suits one piece of equipment may not suit another.

1. Read before cleaning.

Find the care label or product instructions. Check what they say about cleaning agents, washing, temperature, drying and any removable components.

Do not assume a concept photograph confirms a material, coating or waterproof construction. Those details will be provided with real products.

2. Inspect the points that do the work.

Before reuse, inspect the relevant attachment points, straps, closures or mounting hardware as described by the product instructions. Note damage, unusual movement or missing components.

If an attachment or protective part appears damaged, have its suitability assessed rather than treating cleaning as a repair.

3. Store with the next ride in mind.

Follow the specified drying and storage method. Keep the product identification and any installation documents together so the next fitment check starts with the right information.

For a replacement component, record the product revision and photograph the part. Availability and suitability must be confirmed for that exact product.
