Equipment for the long way.
GUIDE / SELECTION

CHOOSE YOUR LUGGAGE.

Compare a luggage setup with your packing list and motorcycle. A capacity number is useful only after you know what needs to fit and how the setup will attach.

1. Lay out what you will carry.

Group items by when you use them: during a stop, at the overnight destination, or for occasional maintenance. Compare the packed shape of those items with the real product's usable dimensions.

Do not infer usable capacity, included organizers or weather protection from a photograph.

2. Compare the complete mounting system.

Identify the seat or rack area you intend to use. Check whether the real product requires a rack, support or specific hardware, and whether those items are included.

Use the motorcycle, rack and luggage manufacturers' instructions for attachment routes, clearances and load limits. Confirm compatibility with existing accessories and any passenger requirements.

3. Check access before choosing.

Consider removal at a stop, access to the fuel filler and seat, and how an item can be retrieved without unpacking everything. Compare attachment and removal steps in the actual installation document.

If fitment or a required part is uncertain, gather photographs of the proposed mounting area and ask before buying or fitting.
